I am John Hinnant, and along with my wife, Jamie, we are excited to launch our new real estate firm. I first owned commercial real estate in 2000, before I turned 30. I have been involved in real estate since 2004, starting as a real estate appraiser. After a few years in economic development and downtown revitalization, I began my commercial real estate career in 2013. Shortly thereafter, I resumed residential appraising to keep my skills sharp. I am often referred difficult assignments, high-value homes, and challenging properties because of my attention to detail.

I have a passion for understanding the elements of a property that contribute to its value. I still offer appraisal services and work with attorneys, estates, families, and land-use issues. I have served as an expert witness and am happy to discuss your challenges.

Jamie brings a strong background in finance and accounting, along with a great eye for interior design and landscaping.

Together, we have two adult children we are very proud of. Our home is protected by an Aussie Doodle (Bubz) and a house cat (Ozzie). I enjoy walking Bubz through downtown, while Jamie loves working in the yard and cooking. We entertain family and friends during the holidays with a massive spread of home-cooked meals. We also enjoy visits to the Caribbean and the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. We attend Northside Church in Wilmington, NC.

We call our firm Living Third Real Estate because, as Christians, we put God first, family and community second, and ourselves third. This transition was not accidental—He made it happen.
